Vegan Pate

This delicious pate is super easy to make and will have non-vegans asking for the recipe! Perfect for any occasion and is the perfect example of how we can eat well, gourmet-style, while being cruelty free! 


‣ 3 Table spoons olive oil 

‣ 4 cloves of garlic, chopped 

‣ 2 small onions, chopped 

‣ 5 cups of mixed mushrooms  (for example oyster mushrooms, buttons and white shimeji mushrooms )

‣ 1 tin of chick peas, drained

‣ 1 Tablespoon of nutritional yeast

‣ 1 teaspoon of dried oregano 

‣ 1 Tablespoon of tamari (or Soya sauce)

‣ 1 teaspoon mustard

‣ 1/2 cup of walnuts

‣ A pinch of sea salt 

‣ 1/2 teaspoon of ground pepper

‣ 4 Table spoons of black truffle oil

1) Add olive oil to coat the bottom of your pan on high heat

2) Add mushrooms

3) Add chickpeas

4) Lower heat to medium

5) Add nutritional yeast, oregano, tamari sauce, mustard, salt and pepper

6) Add Walnuts

7) Add Truffle oil and stir all together for ten minutes

8) Mix for a minute in a a food processor until all ingredients are blended well and smooth

9) Put it in a container or serving dish of your choice and allow to cool. Cover it and place it in the fridge for at least one hour to set and then serve it with vegan crackers or delicious bread of your choice.
